Transcript
Welcome to Presentation Skills q and AI.
Martin:I am Martin Lindeskog.
Martin:Hi Karina, how are you doing?
Martin:Do I sound like a robot?
Carina:No, I don't think so.
Carina:Hi Martin, how are you today?
Martin:Yes, I'm fine.
Martin:We have a topic.
Martin:I tried to be funny, but I don't know if that got through.
Martin:But we were talking about robots in a way.
Carina:Yes, everyone is talking about robots in a way nowadays.
Carina:AI? What's that?
Carina:Yes, and I thought that could be our topic for this session because the whole society are
Carina:talking about AI today.
Carina:So why not?
Carina:Shouldn't we do it?
Martin:Yes, correct.
Martin:I think that's a good idea.
Martin:So again, what's AI standing for?
Carina:But in Swedish we called it a e. Maybe sometimes it's a little bit difficult for us
Carina:to say AI because we are used to say yes, how.
Martin:Intelligent is this kind of phenomenon or service or what do you call it?
Martin:I know that you have some insider information and you have individuals that working in this
Martin:space, studying in this area.
Martin:And it's the future in a way.
Carina:Yes, we are already there.
Carina:Should I say in the future we are using AI in
Carina:many different kind of parts of the society.
Carina:But now when we are talking, you and I, we are
Carina:going to talk about how if we are use it, if you are use it and if I use it.
Carina:And we're also going to talk about what it can be used for.
Carina:When we talk about presentation and pictures and text, that's our topic.
Carina:Should I say are you using it, Martin?
Martin:That's a good question.
Martin:Next question.
Martin:Yes, I am using it, I think indirectly.
Martin:And when I'm thinking about it regarding
Martin:podcasting, I'm using it for generating transcript of what we are saying.
Martin:So then it's a kind of intelligence in an artificial way, a robot that listen to our
Martin:sound pattern and print it out as a transcript.
Martin:So yes, I'm using it.
Carina:So our listeners can also read what we are saying in this show.
Carina:Yes, exactly.
Carina:I use it also in some kind of that way, when I
Carina:want to express myself in another linguistic way, I use it.
Carina:Before I used language dictionaries, and I still do.
Carina:Should I say but when I write or when I should have a speech that is very important, I want
Carina:to express myself.
Carina:How do you say adequately, is that the right
Carina:word?
Martin:Yeah, I think it's a good word.
Martin:You could get synonyms of that word and so on.
Martin:But in this context, I think it's a perfect way of saying it.
Carina:And I'm also going to try it on presentations.
Carina:So there I can really give a tip that you should look at YouTube.
Carina:There you have a lot of material how you can use it for presentations.
Carina:But should I say you still have to check the presentation out so you get the right
Carina:information in your presentation.
Carina:You couldn't just take it and use it.
Carina:But you can learn much more from these films on YouTube if you would like to look at them.
Martin:Great. So then I think we will ask the robot about if this is the correct answer when
Martin:we have published the episode and we will come back to this soon again.
Martin:So my call to action is to check out the show notes and the transcript and see if you follow
Martin:along and think that's a tool and support and help for you.
Martin:And also check out the images with a new podcast app.
Martin:So go to newpodcastapps.com or to podcastapps.com a new domain so it's even
Martin:easier to remember it.
Carina:Yes, well this is a huge topic so I think we talk about it next episode as well, I
Carina:think.
Martin:Yeah, we will do it.
Carina:We will return to it.
Martin:Yeah, thanks again Karina, and talk to you soon again.
